Queswachaka

The tour begins with pickup from your accommodation between 4:30 am. Once the entire group is gathered, around 5:00 am, we will begin our trip in our private transportation. Then we will have two hours to the city of Combapata, where we will have our local breakfast (made of local cereals such as quinoa, quiwicha, maca).

After this, we will continue driving for 15 minutes until we get the Combapata viewpoint, from where we will enjoy the beautiful landscapes and see where the Salcca River meets the Vilcanota, the Sacred River of the Incas. Then, we will continue our trip to Yanaoca, one of the eight districts of the Canas province in Cusco. From Yanaoca, we will drive another thirty minutes to the Qqewe district. From there, you'll have your first glimpse of the ancient bridge suspended between the sheer rock cliffs, as we drive through Apurimac Canyon. We will then leave the car and descend a steep path to a viewpoint to take photos, before carefully crossing the bridge! Get ready for the adrenaline of your life as you cross the swaying bridge and try not to look too closely at the river several meters below! On the side, the bridge attendant will greet us and give a brief demonstration of the history and construction of the bridges.

After visiting the bridge, we will head to the regions where the four famous lakes are located: Pampamarca, Asnacqoccha, Acopia and Pomacanchi. Nestled like jewels among the golden-green hills, they shine in the warm afternoon sun as native flamingos and other birds fly and feed around their edges. We will stop at one of the lake shores to put down our picnic blanket and enjoy our picnic. Finally, we will explore Rumi Punku before returning to Cusco around 4:30 pm.
